Help Your Children With Reading Difficulty Posted on Monday, 30 January 2012

It has been estimated that about 10% of Singaporeans may be dyslexic, a disorder which tends to run in the family.

Dyslexia is not a disease, It is actually a reading disability due to the impairment in translating images received from one's eyes into meaningful language. Though dyslexia is not a well-known disorder, it is the most common learning disability among children.

Children with dyslexia are no different from other normal children in terms of physical outlook. They are not mentally handicapped either! In fact, most people with dyslexia are of average or above-average intelligence, but read at levels significantly lower than expected. It is however unfortunate that society tends to label these children as lazy, lacking of attention during lesson, playful and even hopeless, troubled children.

Children with dyslexia commonly have problems processing and understanding what they hear. They may have difficulty comprehending rapid instructions, following more than one command at a time or remembering the sequence of things. Reversals of letters e.g. "b" for "d"; and a reversal of words e. g. " saw" for "was"; are typical among them. Reversals are common for children age 6 and younger who do not have dyslexia. But with dyslexia , the reversals persist.

Left untreated, dyslexia may lead to low selfesteem, behavioural problems, delinquency, aggression and withdrawal or alienation from friends, parents and teachers. Hence, we, as caring parents, should care for our children as much as CNI cares for them by offering them hope.

Well3 Young Intelmax is made of traditional herbs, which instantly nourishes our brain, and it is believed to help ease dyslexia that seems to be caused by the malfunctioning of certain areas of the brain related to language. Other treatments may involve a multi-sensory education program and your providing emotional support to them.

Our children have all the potentials to excel and we are their hope in making it possible. Let Well3 Young Intelmax lights up their learning path.
